Dynamic Duo
One of the best young duos we saw this weekend plays for the Johns Creek Gladiators 7th grade squad. Big man Devin Hutcherson used his size to his advantage all weekend and finished with multiple 20+ point games to his name. He didn’t do it all alone though as Tatum Holmes played extremely well from the guard spot, often finishing with double digits himself. The two play well off of each other and love to get out on the break for easy buckets. They’re definitely a team and a duo that I would keep my eyes on in the near future.
Game of the Week
The matchup of the weekend took place in the 8th-grade division on Saturday night as the Sutton Middle Cougars laced up to play the West Forsyth Wolverines. This game was close all the way through with top performer Jackson Honsner leading the way for Sutton with 17pts. His teammate Simeon Montstory helped out with 13pts. That would be enough to give the Sutton Cougars a 56-53 victory over West Forsyth in this touch matchup. Grayson B. and Zach A. played very well in the loss for West Forsyth, finishing with 13pts and 14pts respectively. They’ll look to bounce back after the Thanksgiving break.
